Repeal LB852

All About LB852

Repeal LB852 is a dedicated platform offering comprehensive insights into Nebraska Legislative Bill 852 (now Nebraska Revised Statute 44-3612) and its profound negative effects on insurance coverage for seniors in Nebraska. This new law went into effect July 19, 2024 and it significantly limits how supplemental and secondary insurance plans cover durable medical equipment, a category which includes walkers, manual and power wheelchairs, hospital beds, patient lifts, lift chairs, other mobility assistive equipment, prosthetics and orthotics, and repairs to this equipment. Our primary goal is to inform the 180,000 plus Nebraska seniors who have been financially impacted by this new law. It will also allow us to collect valuable poll survey data from senior citizens in Nebraska, providing a voice to those affected and shedding light on this critical issue. We will use the survey data to convince our Legislature to repeal Nebraska Revised Statute 44-3612. Join us in our mission to advocate for positive change and support Nebraska's senior community.
